Christmas is fast approaching so I thought I would take this opportunity to let you know what we have coming up over the following month.

On Saturday 3^rd December we will be holding our annual Christmas Bazaar. This is sure to be a great event with over 20 stalls selling everything from cakes to handbags to soaps to toys & games and there will even be an appearance from Father Christmas.

Then on Tuesday 13^th December we are holding a Christmas Lunch for all our luncheon club members. If you are an existing member of our luncheon club and would like to attend please pop in and see Terri on reception. Please note: you must be a member of the luncheon club and have attended this year.

This is then followed the following day be our annual Christmas Carol Concert. The concert was a huge success last year and was sold out well in advance of the day. If you would like to attend please be quick, the tickets are completely free however they are issued on a first come first served basis and we are well on our way to being over 80% full.

This year the centre will be closing at 3.00pm on Saturday 17^th December are will be reopening at 9.00am on Tuesday 3rd January 2012 and with that we would like to take this opportunity to wish all our users a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Well despite all my best intentions it has once again been a while since our blog has been updated, I apologise for this but the centre is so busy the blog is always one of the first things that gets neglected.

I will give you all a brief rundown of what’s been happening since I last posted and try to keep more up to date this time, but I’m not promising.

The café area of the centre has completed its refit, so along with having a brand new kitchen we have also got a new seating area and a redecorated frontage. Over the next couple of months we are looking to purchase new seating and tables but as with all things Quinborne this will depend on funding.

For those of you who may not know Bennett Hall has recently been refitted and is now up and running, we already have numerous groups taking full advantage of these new facilities including new Zumba classes and old favourites like Dog Training.

Our new Luncheon Club has started running and has been a great success, we have already run a successful daytrip to Webbs Garden Centre and on Tuesday 5^th July we will soon be running our second trip. This will be to Weston-Super-Mare and we currently have places still available so if you fancy joining us, pop in and see us in the office. The luncheon club isn’t just about daytrips however as we also run events in the centre every Tuesday and remember once the activities are over you can tuck into a lunch that will have just been freshly prepared in our café.

So that’s about it at present, I’m sure I have missed things out, but as I remember them I will update the blog and keep you all informed of all the exciting developments at your local community centre.
